case study: outdoors company branding process

Discover how we partnered with Banger Overland and Outdoors to build a strong, cohesive brand identity from the ground up. From initial discovery and research to the development of a compelling brand visuals, we brought the idea of a new company to life and gave it legs.

Dive in to the step by step journey of creating a brand that stays true to its ownership while standing out in the overland and outdoors industry.

After our one-hour discovery call, we uncovered two opposing concepts that illustrated where Banger wanted to take it’s company. One more hippie road trip with a touch of Western US and the other “alpha-energy” and more masculine feeling.

At first, the company was torn between what ideal client to cater to - the family that enjoys camping vacationing outdoors together or the hunter/fisherman overlander who’s probably an ex-marine. Both mood board options were approved and we moved into creating the logo suites for these concepts.

The challenge? Both options needed to incorporate a flashbang.

SUPPORTING BRAND ILLUSTRATIONS

We ultimately landed on Concept 1, but Banger wanted to take their branding package to the next level. Pulling imagery from our initial discovery call, we created some on-brand illustrations to use throughout their marketing as well as on merchandise for their shop.

From hand drawn skulls and American-made weapons to landscapes and cowboy inspired layouts, we made sure to stick to our guns and bring the high-octane Banger energy to their merchandise.

Let’s create your unique brand.
